Hitler in my eyes is nothing compared to the cruel victors. He did what he thought was best for his country, and look now! Germany is the strongest country in Europe, because no one dares to f*ck with them.

@ raqubor…yes the allies did some nasty things to germany but guys like hitler don’t go down with nice words and negotiations….europe destroyed itself twice in the 20th century….please leave america out of your shenanigans this time…we have our own problems to deal with now…uncle sam can’t always come running to clean up euro messes…say what you will about america(the indians, slavery, foreign policy f*ck ups in the middle east)…we can’t compare to the cruelty and horror that europeans have inflicted on each other and the world….
This looks like a briefing film for American soldiers who would be occupying Germany shortly after the war. It would be interesting to see what sort of briefing the British and French soldiers received. It must also be remembered that this was made about 65 years ago, so I think we can say that there has been peace.
Looks like Islam has the same policy. Do we need a Hitler to kill it off?

I don’t think most of the commenters understand that this film was dead serious in its day. The youth had been brought up on Nazi propaganda, the adults had lived under this system for almost 20 years. We can’t judge the Germans of 1945 by looking at the Germans of today, even the ones who lived through this. The world has changed, we can’t judge all of history by 2012 standards.

This is obviously a film intended for soldiers about to leave American shores and staff the allied occupation. If it was1945, and our job to make this film, I think any one of us would have made a similar film under the circumstances. And in 2012 we would look back on our own film and probably think it’s creepy today. That’s just the way things happen as times change.
