Herman Munster alway was a “sweety”.

HM was a shameless rip-off of the Frankenstein character created by B. Karloff [AKA W. H. Pratt], though I did adore Fred Gwynne, who was also a superb graphic artist and talented author.

  2. The Little Myrmidon says:

This is Fred Gwynne made up as Herman Munster, right?

  3. D. C. says:

Actually Boris Karloff on the set of Son of Frankenstein.

  4. JMixx says:

I had a hair stylist cut my bangs too short once. I called it my “Frankenstein Fringe.”

  5. maralisil says:

Are you sure that’s Karloff? Looks a bit off …

  6. The Little Myrmidon says:

    Yes, it is Boris Karloff.

[SPOKEN WITH A TOFFY UC ACCENT:] Mr. “Karloff”, in reality William H. Pratt of Enfield, UK, marginally aristocratic, and the pride of King’s College [London, from which, however, he never graduated] was, as this photograph indicates, ALWAYS the perfectly mannered English chap. Tut-tut, tally-ho, and AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
