This Is News By Today's Standards...

It’s almost blasphemy to imagine Walter Cronkite in this situation. Journalism is dead.

    Unfortunately, journalism is dead.
As soon as the news became a potential source of income, integrity disappeared.
As soon as TV news went 24 hours, accuracy and unbiased reporting went out the window.
Now, CNN is no better than The View.

I think it started when Edward R. Murrow had to do “Person to Person” (live interviews with celebs in their homes) so he could do “See it Now” and other real news shows. He hated it and you can tell. But it’s just gone downhill so fast. When Google news links to amateur blogs for news reporting and doesn’t bother to hire editors to correct mistakes and CNN asks viewers to send in their “iReports” and photos, see it for what it is. Marketing ploy to pull in viewers and save money not having to pay real journalists. God, I miss Cronkite. Journalism is dead.

What is this “Journalism” you speak of? And how many sound bites can we get out of reporting it’s death? Was it sleeping with a celebrety? Engaged in political muckraking? Why should we even care? Anderson cooper attempts to uncover the answers, tonight on Lary king….

Twitter didn’t kill journalistic integrity… it just helped to bury the body, and then crapped on its grave.

  8. Devon in Canada. says:

Journalism was dead when Walter was on the scene…an admitted far left liberal, his dangerous bias was evident through out his dishonest career!

See his lies vis a vis the Tet offensive in Vietnam!

This guy was a lying scoundral!
