  1. Comrade Luki says:

the soviets, among others, were known to train dogs to find scraps of meat underneath armored vehicles. little did the dogs know that in wartime, explosives were strapped to their backs when they were let off to find said armored vehicles…

    • WGMindless says:

I was about to mention that.

Sadly the plan backfired, as the dogs couldn’t tell the difference between Allied and Axis tanks.

  2. marxz says:

if that’swhat I think it is then both the dog and the tanker’s should fear…
WWII soviet “anti tank dog” basically a dog trained to think that captured German tanks are some kind of nice place to shelter and have a meal then sent out in to the real battle field with a doggy suicide vest – that antenna is the trip/trigger so as soon as it hits the underside of the tank… no more dog and, if you’re a soviet soldier, hopefully no more tank.

not good though if you’re a German tanker … or the dog

  3. Stepp says:

A Sowiet anti tang dog. The Red Army trained them in Second World War to carry a bomb and then crouch under an enemy tank, where the bomb would explode and kill the dog and destroy the tank. However, they were trained using sowiet tanks (as shown in the picture), and when they were sent into battle, they got scared by the shots and run back to what the knew… the sowiet tanks. The Sowiets have never used them again…

  4. WLP says:

No, be very afraid. That thing sticking out of its back is a trigger and as soon as it goes under that tank the bomb on its back is gonna blow.

about a minute and a half in:

  5. paulc says:

what was rather amusing is that because the dogs were trained using Soviet tanks, they kept turning back and seeking out Soviet tanks instead of the German tanks they were supposed to be blowing up…

  6. peg4x4 says:

Unfunny…. In fact very sad. Did the poster mean to make everyone ill,or did they not know history?

  7. me says:

during ww2 those dogs would have explosives strapped to their backs
and they would run under tanks then BOOM!!
obiosly the RSPCA wasn`t active then

  8. Hybrid says:

    That’s not even funny. . . just sad. . .

  9. thatoneguy says:

That must be a training tank for the dogs rather than a proper one. The gun is way to small to be a standard 76mm cannon.
